I got to deck out the nails of a sweet, sweet lady friend of mine at Salon Salon yesterday! So good to see these nails again and paint some mod purple and black triangles. All Shellac gel by CND so it will last longer than nail polish and it's unbelievably shiny.

Black marble stone

Black marble stone manicure, done on natural nails with CND Shellac gels and the white is CND Vinylux gel. They're STUNNING in person, shiny and perfect and detailed with little gold flecks, and they're going to last me two weeks! I had only marbled with lacquer before, so using the light cured gel was new to me. A youtube tutorial by Dixie Girlxox walked me through the differences. Love working with this new product

Using OPI Nail Envy

I've been using OPI nail envy (2 coats under any color, or about every week or two when i redo my nail art) I started using it in maybe the spring of 2014. Almost immediately - like within a few weeks, they stopped splitting and breaking. They used to flake into layers, and break off or tear in line with the end of the skin. Within a month i had growth at the free edge. within two i had "long nails" and within 3 months they were as long as you see here. Now almost a year later, i can wear them in almond/stiletto shapes and as long as i'm careful ("Your nails are like jewels don't use them like tools") they are mindblowing and long and gorgeous. Nail Envy was a real life-changer!
