The Zodiacs: Cancer

Number one of my zodiac series! Yay! I'm such a dork for astrology. So first, I decided to do Cancer because...I felt like it. Cancer's colours are pearl, cream, silver, white and I've seen violet listed as well so I went with that. I also added some blue hints for the water element. This was my first time doing water marble decals because I am AWFUL at actual water marbles. Absolutely terribad. So I did the diy decal route with this because I wanted something wavy and flowy. I love the design of the crab which I found on google images because it has the symbol for Cancer inside the crab's body. Also I love how gorgeous Disco Ball looks on top of Coconut Kiss. SO pretty. The crab and the constellation are done in acrylic paint.

The Zodiacs: Sagittarius

I've done my submission for the next challenge early. Week 17 of the 52 Week Challenge is pink and/or purple, so I went with purple. And since I went with purple, it was a good opportunity to do Sagittarius. The colour palette is, as far as I could tell, all shades of purple. More water marble decals were done and I think they're much nicer than my previous attempt on Cancer. It took some experimentation, but I got the hang of it. However, the outside rings of polish I had to take off were very thin and just...kinda fell off? The pieces got EVERYWHERE and clung to EVERYTHING. X_x The constellation was a headache and I was worried it wouldn't actually fit on my nail. Doesn't look quite like my practice drawing of it in my sketchbook, but I had way more room there. The sign and the constellation are done in acrylic paint. I dedicate this one to my friend Hillary. :)

The Zodiacs: Virgo

Week 15 of the 52 Week Challenge is dotticures, and I've done mine a bit early because I had a nail tragedy and had to take off the previous mani prematurely. Womp womp. It's currently Virgo season, and one of my best friends is a Virgo and she told me to do her sign for the next in my series. So this is dedicated to Sarah. The colours for Virgo are brown, navy blue and earth tones. It was a serious challenge figuring out how to incorporate the image of the lady with the traditional symbol for Virgo, but I think I did alright. Also I was really worried I wouldn't be able to fit the constellation onto my nail. The constellation and the symbol for Virgo are done in acrylic paint.

The Zodiacs: Libra

The challenge for week 18 of the 52 Week Challenge is half moons. To be truthful, I had a hell of a time deciding how to go about doing this. This week was my birthday week as well, so I wanted to do my zodiac sign of Libra. Libra's colours are pastels and blue. So I did a pastel rainbow, since rainbows are my favourite thing ever, with the blue half moon and tons of glitter. The scales and constellation are acrylic paint.

Something vampy and sexy for Scorpio. Also a different style of picture. Scorpio's colours are said to be dark red and maroons. The constellation and scorpion are done in acrylic paint.

The Zodiacs: Pisces

So the week after the Halloween week in the challenge was "Back of your drawer". Well, a lot of my teal-y blues are there, so I decided to do Pisces. The polish I'm holding is a frankened polish of my own making because I actually didn't own a proper teal. I like it. Took a lot of different greens to make it that colour. Pisces's colours are sea blues and greens. The constellation and fish are acrylic paint.
